About Anavah

Anavah is the Hebrew word for humility.

Humility is not about shrinking yourself, it's about accepting your strengths, your weaknesses, and your circumstances. It's about taking radical responsibility for your life and pursuing your highest potential.

Our founding principle

Radical responsibility.

This is the founding principle of Anavah Institute: that lasting health — for patients and providers alike — begins not with a prescription or a protocol, but with radical responsibility.

Mental health does not exist in isolation. It is one of eight dimensions of wellness, each critically important on its own and essential as part of an integrated whole.

Why we exist

Bridging the gaps between disciplines.

Anavah Institute bridges the gaps between these disciplines. We equip professionals in every domain with the training and resources to understand how these dimensions shape one another and to work together in support of their patients' lives. We also work directly with patients to provide truly integrative care.

The problem we address

Mental health and physical health are treated as if they exist in separate worlds. They don't.

Most patients with complex needs bounce between providers who never speak to each other. A psychiatrist adjusts medication without knowing a patient is mid-course in physical therapy. A physiatrist creates a pain management plan without awareness of a patient's anxiety disorder. The result: fragmented care, conflicting treatments, safety risks — and patients left to navigate it alone.

The overlap is common. A 2025 meta-analysis of 376 studies (347,468 adults with chronic pain) found clinically significant depression symptoms in about 39% and anxiety symptoms in about 40%.1

Anavah exists to close that gap. We coordinate across disciplines, creating a shared understanding for patients and providers. Anavah acts as the connective tissue between your care team, working so that every clinician has the context they need, treatment goals are aligned, and nothing falls through the cracks.

Cross-disciplinary coordination

We bridge mental health clinicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physiatrists — creating a unified care plan.

Patient safety as the core

Medication awareness, contraindication screening, and shared treatment context help prevent harmful gaps and conflicts in care.

Provider education & training

We train clinicians and care teams in integrative frameworks — so the whole healthcare system works better together.

The Anavah model

Mind. Body. Coordination.

01 · Mind

Integrative Psychiatry

PMHNP-led evaluations, medication management, and lifestyle psychiatry — every decision informed by the patient's full physical picture.

02 · Body

Physical Medicine

Exercise physiology, functional nutrition, and physical-therapy alignment — movement and fuel prescribed like medicine.

03 · Coordination

The Anavah Signature

Structured hand-offs between psychiatry, PT, PCP, and attorneys, with shared documentation so nothing falls through the cracks.

Mind and body are one system. Our approach to mind-body healthcare treats them that way, and coordinates the people who care for each.
